ORGANISATIONAL SURVIVAL
AskRIGHT Feature
The coronavirus (COVID-19) has sent us all into unchartered waters. If we thought life was challenging before – with droughts, bushfires, global financial crises, floods, domestic violence, homelessness, and so on – nothing has prepared us for the situation we are currently experiencing. Nevertheless, there are actions we can take now to give us the best possible chance of surviving this emergency for the future of our organisations. It is how we respond – not how we react – that will give us this chance. Through strategic disaster response management and scenario planning, this article will help you navigate your way to survival and recovery.

AskRIGHT Article
With more PAFs and PuAFs expected to increase their distributions this financial year and the next, more not-for-profit organisations that are eligible will seek support from ancillary funds. We explain why ancillary funds are established, how to use the best resource for identifying every ancillary fund in Australia, and how to solicit funds from PAFs and PuAFs.

PHILANTHROPIC ORIENTATION IN NONPROFIT ORGANISATIONS
AskRIGHT Partner
"The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies is inviting those working in a nonprofit organisation that undertakes fundraising to be part of an important research project that is not related to COVID-19 but we believe the findings will support organisations going forward and on their road to recovery. To participate, you will complete a short online survey (approx. 15 minutes) which aims to develop a measure of philanthropic culture and help us learn the impact that this might have on fundraising and organisational performance. It is expected that this research project will benefit nonprofit organisations in Australia and globally." Further details on the study and how to participate can be found by clicking on the link below. If you have any questions, please contact Dr Ruth Knight at ruth.knight@qut.edu.au.

RESPOND AND CREATE: NAVIGATING THE NEW NORMAL IN FUNDRAISING
AskRIGHT Article
Facing the prospect of a deep economic recession due to COVID-19, the charitable sectors in both New Zealand and Australia are revising their plans and strategies to meet the new demands and unique challenges brought on by the pandemic. Uncertainty and difficult decisions loom for charities on both sides of the Tasman, so it is understandable for fundraisers to question what the best direction is over the next 6-12 months. Whatever the direction you decide to take, make sure you continue to do one thing: keep on fundraising!
